2018 Provincial Concours d’art oratoire
Saturday, May 5th, 2018

The Concours d’art oratoire is a French-speaking competition for secondary students throughout the province. Students write an original three to five minute speech on a topic of their choice, which they present in front of a panel of judges, their parents and their peers.

Prizes are awarded to winners in each category at the provincial level. This year, prizes include gift cards (Sec I to IV) and Antidote 9 (Sec V)

Secondary V students who win their category advance to the National Concours in Ottawa, Ontario. There, they compete against Provincial Concours winners from across Canada for a chance to win scholarships to the University of Ottawa and other Canadian universities (some in excess of $20,000).

Schedule of the day : 

11:15 – 12:00 Participants registration

11:30: Lunch (Cafétéria)

12:15: Welcome

12:30 – 14:00 Presentation of speeches

14:00 – 14:15 Judges deliberation

14:15 – 14:45 Awards presentation
